Kimberly Gubbins is a graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN where she earned a Bachelors in Nursing. After graduation, Kimberly spent five years working for the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. It was while at Comer that she decided to return back to school at Rush University to earn a Masters in Nursing and Advanced Practice Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Kim is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
In 2011 Kim joined the team at Pediatric Health Associates. She enjoys working with teen parents, new parents and toddlers. Kim's special interests include infant sleep, potty training, constipation, picky eating and nutrition. Kimberly loves creating relationships with families and supporting them on their journey.
Kimberly is a certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). She has a passion for breastfeeding and helping moms navigate the difficulty of having a newborn and learning how to nurse or pump. Additionally, Kim is an adjunct faculty member at Rush University and serves as a preceptor for their pediatric nurse practitioner students.
In her free time, she enjoys time with her girls and family, Michigan, anything outside, trying new foods and being on the water.
