Jerome Gronli, M.D. grew up in Chicago. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College at Rush University Medical Center. He completed residency training in pediatrics at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital. He joined Pediatric Health Associates in the summer of 2012.
Dr. Gronli is board certified in pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has special interests in newborn care, injury prevention, asthma and other respiratory disorders, and infectious diseases. He has done academic research on Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome, a genetic disorder of autonomic control of breathing, which was published in the journal Pediatric Pulmonology and which he presented at the national conference of the American Thoracic Society. He speaks Spanish and enjoys using this skill to work with patients, families and communities.
He enjoys reading about history, watching movies, sports, travel, chess, and playing in softball leagues.
